Through trial and error, we continue to identify the right stewards to partner with us on our data governance journey. The stewards are engaged and ready to step up to offer assistance. Our collaborative efforts are not limited to Data Stewards and the Data Governance team. We also hold our data sponsors and data owners accountable and responsible for this partnership. We will walk through our failures and successes, which can both be celebrated!

  • Executive sponsorship is an absolute must
  • Sponsors and owners align the appropriate stewards for their divisions
  • Input and feedback from the stewards are welcome and expected
    • Usability studies have a great impact
  • Consistent collaborative opportunities to keep stewards engaged
  • Ensure stewards have a foundational understanding by giving homework between meetings
  • Incentives are always appreciated
