versity.net/sessionPop.cfm?confid=151&proposalid=13923\nWhile it serves reg
ulatory requirements, a heavy-handed, top-down approach to governance can l
eave Data Governance teams exhausted and the business frustrated and overwo
rked. In this session, I will demonstrate how my Data Governance team&rsquo
;s frictionless approach uses a data quality pilot to identify sources of g
rowth and makes a case for Enterprise Governance and stewardship. By embedd
ing ourselves in existing processes and applying a plug-and-play model of a
ctivities, we implement governance from the ground up. These small wins enh
ance commitment and ultimately build big buy-in when presented as a package
to executives. To illustrate our approach, I'll highlight a finance-re
lated use case through which we piloted our holistic offering, including:\n
\n
Insight: Marrying Python and Power BI to collect data quality rules and pub
lish actionable scorecards\n
Foresight: Utilizing an Adastra solution to extract terms and definitions f
rom internal policies to encourage collaboration and deepen relationships\n
Oversight: Leveraging Collibra catalog and workflow functionality to e
nsure fit-for-purpose reporting and traceability\n\n
