 overnance in a public institution, the perception of value obtained from da
 ta usage needs to go far beyond financial gain. A different perspective is 
 required as public institutions are not independent and each one has a role
  in the government. Governments interested in accomplishing United Nations&
 rsquo; Sustainable Development Goals will need to define strategies to matc
 h expenditure with SDG’s indicators. An integral data strategy needs 
 to be developed along with each initiative to foster SDG’s accomplish
 ment in order to measure expenditure effectiveness. Each public institution
  requires to provide data to allow tracking expenditures to SDGs. Guideline
 s are provided from a Data Governance perspective, to define the role of ea
